USCG Licensed Captain Chris Oliver grew up in Dutchess County, New York and it did not take long for him to acknowledge the special Striped Bass fishery that exists in the Hudson River. By the age of 5 Chris was on the Hudson River fishing as often as he could be. As time went on a deep passion for fishing developed. When he was 16, he purchased his own boat and ventured out onto the river on his own. Since then, he has spent thousands of hours studying these migratory fish, figuring out where they are and developing new ways to catch them. Beyond the Hudson River fishery, Capt. Chris has fished the Eastern Long Island Sound, Montauk, and Block Island waters every opportunity he had. Beyond Striped Bass fishing, Capt. Chris is offshore several times a week from June through October targeting Tuna. Whether its deep in the Northeast canyons or at midshore Bluefin Tuna grounds, Chris is chasing these pelagic beasts throughout the north east !
